Features:

Point Pinos is located at the western tip of the southern edge of Monterey bay. Due to its close proximity to the shoreline, it is recommended that this site is only dived on calm days and from a boat. During the fall and winter months, divers can take advantage of great visibility and explore the rocky granite bottom with ease. Massive walls and boulders are covered with wide variety of invertebrates. Divers will often find lingcod, bat rays, and many rare species of rockfish swimming about. Unlike many other sites in the area, red gorgonian sea fans thrive here making Point Pinos an excellent spot for underwater photography.
