Located in Carmel Bay between Cypress Point and Pescadero Point lay The Pinnacles. The Pinnacles are marked by two large kelp beds. The inner pinnacle rises to 15 feet while the outer pinnacle reaches over 100 feet deep. The Pinnacles contain channels that are cut through the granite boulders. The channels are often as high as 40 feet allow for easy travel and creating a unique feeling for divers. On a day with good visibility, pink and purple hydrocora, stipitate kelp, and Chestnut Cowrie can all be seen. Large jellyfish and blue sharks are generally the largest animals found in this area. The area is rich in life and is extraordinarily beautiful.
