Hyde
In May of 1988, the 215-foot Hyde was deployed by the NC Department of Marine Fisheries in AR-386 located about 15 miles off Wrightsville Beach.

The Markham is a 320-foot US Army Corps of Engineers dredge that was sunk in the Artificial Reef area AR-386 close to the Hyde dredge.

The Danish freighter, Normannia, served less than thirty years before meeting its demise on the Frying Pan Shoals forty miles offshore of southern North Carolina.

The waters off Wilmington contain numerous historic shipwrecks from the last 300 years as well as several well-maintained artificial reefs. Divers can expect lots of gamefish, curious sand tiger sharks, and colorful tropicals.

In addition to the other reviews, here's my comments: 50' to stern deck, 80' to sand, mostly in tact, easy nav, 30' vis. Several people went to sand and collected sharks teeth. We saw many tiger sharks, amberjacks, groupers and a several smaller fish. ...
