Great place to spear fish. Lots of fish, but low visibility We followed our dive on the Mercedes yesterday with a dive at Spotfin Reef. We anchored in about 45 feet of water. The site dropped off pretty quickly from 45 to 70. We were spearing and spent most of our time in the 70 foot range. We didn't see much at first and the visibility was only about 20 feet. Towards the end of the dive though, we found a large spot in 45 feet of water with a tremendous amount of marine life including large groupers, big mangrove snappers, and a lot of other fish. Unfortunately we were at the end of out tanks so we didn't have much time. I got a nice mangrove, but that was it. Definitely a nice fish though (see picture). I will try this spot again another day to see if the visibility improves. Other than that, it would have been a great intermediate dive.
