Collier 5 Mile Reef

Since it was deployed in 1980, this 100'x175' artificial reef site has been attracting many types of sea life. As many as 20 goliath grouper have been spotted in the area. The reef is made up primarily of concrete pilings and barges. In the northeast corner of the site, two barges rest 30 feet apart. Three more barges lie within an 80 foot area in the sites southeast corner. Each of these three barges is linked to the others by deployed material. Collier 5 Mile Reef is located 12 miles south of Gordon Pass.
