Great "first wreck dive"
Dove in June 2008, my first wreck dive and only my third ocean dive. Great visability, of course I was used to a quarry before. One of the stingrays swam just below me as I reached the bottom, learned later about the eel but did not see it on my dive. The pipes add to the wreck and offer an opportunity to take a good peek or swimthru. Opening in hull, with some divers going in.

Goliath grouper did not like his picture taken !!!
WOW! Was it Fred or Ethel that bit my Sony A570 camera with the transparent underwater case? Altough it was securely attached with a retractive metal wire, the approx. 350 lbs giant grouper just ripped it from me and it scared the shit out a me!!! But the best was that the jewfish just spit it out and I was able to retrieve my cam from the bottom of the sea! That's why I've got these pics.My transparent case probably looked like a good meal like a small octopus. My cam was probably hanging there that's why it attacked it. Enjoy this dive and remember to keep everything near you!

Fantastic site
I dove this site last week. It was a little windy on the surface but the water was a comfortable 75 degrees, and the visibility was about 60 feet. The marine life on the site is great. I saw several large goliath groupers and a very friendly (it swam right up to us) green moray. We didn't stay on the sea emperor that long. About 40 feet from the south eastern corner of the wreck is a jetty that extends to another wreck, the United Caribbean. The rock pile is itself an intresting site. There was a large school of snappers and grunts along the jetty as well as some very large parrotfish (2 feet +), and a few stingrays. At the end of the jetty if you swim out another 40-60 ft over sand you'll reach the stern section of the United Caribbean which is lying on its port side. The wreck is pretty broken up but its still worth seeing just to get a glimpse of the effect a hurricane can have on a shipwreck. If you do decide to visit the United Caribbean make sure you do so with a lot of air, the swim to the UC and back to the sea emperor took me about 1700 psi, if your going to do it make sure you watch your air since there is no mooring bouy on the UC, and its not really a surface swim you'd want to make, especially if there is a current.

Amazing!!!
I've been to this site three times now. Though I know there are other great dive sites in the area, each time I visit I just HAVE to get back here. Between the giant grouper, the ray, and the Moray, it is an absolute paradise for marine life lovers. It is my understanding that before the laws changed, this was a "feed" site so the marine life are not he least bit afraid of divers and the interaction (as long as you are respectful) is fantastic. I can;t say enough good things about this spot. A MUST dive in Florida

my first wreck dive
This was my first wreck dive, I was told the moray was named scarface, but he was used to seeing divers. I had a great dive there, and was hooked on diving as soon as I began the dive. I'll be going back to take some photographs.
