The most popular dive spot in the Jacksonville area is Clayton Holler. This area of reefs and ledges lies 16.7 miles from the Mayport jetties. There are three reef spots with several ledges. One of the ledges that is part of the northern group contains a large swim-through. The middle reef section is a mile long and contains two tug boats and a barge. The southern group has a tall offshore reef, which rises 15 feet from the bottom. This is also an incredible area for lobstering. Depths are between 85 and 95 feet with visibility generally around 40 feet.
