One of the best deep wreck dives on the planet!
Had the honor of making over a dozen dives on this wreck back in the mid-1980s through the early 1990s with Captain Billy Deans. Easily one of the most visually impressive wrecks any where in the world. The stern half of the wreck sits bolt upright on the 250' sand bottom. The deck is at 210' with the superstructure rising up to 145'. The triple six inch gun turrets jutting out in to the blue are an awesome sight to behold. The bow section rests on her starboard side, so this one is usually done using a 250' max depth. Saw lots of big fish and shark action on most of my dives. We even had a dolphin pod hang out with us during a lengthy decompression. If you are a serious deep wreck diving junkie, a trip out to experience the majesty of this big beautiful warship has just got to be on your bucket list!

did not dive this site but did fish it
caught a 4' baracuda jigging on this site and as soon as I released it 5 sharks tore it to pieces. I do believe at least on of the sharks was a bull as it had the the head shape and body shape. I would not dive this site on any mix. Current that day was approx. 5 knots. Very swift current!

For Very Advanced divers only
Dove this site several times many years back with Capt. Billy Deans of Key West Divers, Inc.. A difficult dive on a good day. Dove to the deck (220') several times on air. And once to the keel (245") and the bow section on Tri-mix. It sure easier to remember what you saw on Tri-mix. DON'T do this wreck until you are well trained and supervised. It can easily kill you.
