In the shallow waters off the main beach of CocoCay is the "wreck" of a small plane. The wreck was purposly placed in its current location to create an artificial reef and snorkel destination for the island visitors. Access points have been fenced off to prevent penetration.

The wreck lies on the sandy bottom in 15 feet of water and is always filled with colorful tropical fish. It is surrounded by lush seagrass and is located near a swim platform and lifeguard station.

The fish on this particular spot are very curious and playful since they are accustomed to being fed during by the cruise lines during the "Fish Feeding Extravaganza".
