Another one of my favorites... I like this site for two very big reasons... First, it has very little current, if any at all with spectacular viz regularly. This makes Pickles a great site for novice divers. Second, because it's not as "big" as some of the other reefs, it doesn't have as many predators on it. This makes Pickles an EXCELLENT dive for people who want to take things SLOW and enjoy themselves looking for the little things. Lots of little fish, and a few lobsters and rays if you take the time to look for them. This is a great reef for macro photography too, because it's shallow, clean, and generally no currents or surge.

Great Vis and Low currents This reef isn't as "alive" as nearby Molasses and French Reef, but also not as much dive pressure. An enjoyable Keys reef which would be considered "excellent" if it was in Fort Lauderdale or Palm Beach, but in the Keys it's just "average."

Nice reef I gave this reef only a "3", although by many standards, it's a very beautiful reef with lots of fish and lobster. But because it's located in the Florida Keys, home to some of the most spectacular reefs in all the world, I felt my rating had to be relative. Nearby are French Reef and Molasses - two of the most incredible reefs in the area. Make Pickles your third dive if you can!
