Awesome dive, great reef, tons of life
Sombrero is a great dive for beginners and experts alike. Water is typically very clear, even on rough days and the marine life here is incredible. HIGHLY recommended.

Lots of memories, some funny, and a lot of good
great location for teaching, snorkeling, or even a nice boat ride to the light house looking down on the reef. the layout of all the reef fingers is great for nice long shallow dives... recommend Hall's Dive Center. Ask for Randy or Damien.

Awsome for beginners and advanced alike!
I did my Open water check outs on Sombrero Reef. It was awsome. We saw tons of yellow tailed snapper. Saw some pretty parrot fish and two barracuda. All in all was awsome.

Excellent shallow dive
Sombrero Reef is an excellent shallow dive. I hit this spot after diving the Thunderbolt. We quickly descended to the maximum depth of 27? (with you depth gauge dragging in the sand). Saw a pod of about eight purposes, to bad I left the camera on the boat. Still an great dive.
