Absolute Paradise
I have yet to SCUBA dive this site, but I have snorkled here several times and it is always a new adventure. Plenty of coral, plant life and sea life to see. This is the one "all encompassing" place to go for a boat full of people from all skill levels. I have taken several pics here underwater and I am always pleasantly surprised.

Beautiful Reef! Amazeing Sea Life!
This reef is simply amazing. i've been here a couple of times. the sea life is abundant! two sea turtles, several caribbean reef sharks, nurse sharks, and large barracuda call this reef home. fish are plentiful and visibility was over 75ft! this spot is perfect for a mixed group of snorkel and scuba. enjoy! 8-)

Beautiful Dive.
Alot to look at. Easy enough for the kids to snorkle while Dad watches from 20' down.

Shallow spur and grooves were excellent!
This is a lush spur and groove site. We were there when the wind was from the west. This pushes particulates under the bridges. Visibility was reasonably decent, but photography opps were poor because of fairly coarse particulates in the water. Abundant, colorful soft and hard corals; lots of fish. Easy, shallow dive (max ~25-30 ft) in the reef. Hard to get lost. Excellent place for beginners to go on their own for the first time.

Great Aquatic life, good finger formations.
I was certified on this site two years ago. I have always encountered a wide variety of Large and diverse fish populations. The clarity has always been good when I have been there but compared to a rock quarry it would have to be. I have also been spoiled by the folks at Strike Zone Charters on Big Pine Key they go out of the way to make the trip great

Nice Fingers with Big Fish
Nice little dive area with lots of coral fingers to explore. Fish are plentiful, saw several large fish, and also an 7-8 foot nurse shark. Also, a great spot if you have a mixed group of snorkelers and divers.

dont use looe key dive center
Looe key can be a great dive, but the dive shop hurries you thru the dives. They offer a triple dip, but they start the count down to get back on the boat before you enter the water. I had to hire a guide for the a. bush wreck, despite my logged experience with deep dives. No big deal but the guide lost me on the wreck. How do you lose your customers. He got no tip from me. They do nothing on the boat. I will give the dive boat $20 tip all day if you help me with my gear change my tanks and get me h2o. They do none of that. Maybe it would be a better experience with another shop. I dive more in key largo.

It was average
It was pretty cloudy when I was there. Saw lots of big fish, and even a 8' blacktip. Which made the 20 mile ride well worth it. I think theres alot to see here. So i give it a three

Very Disappointing
Visibility was very poor (15-25 ft) which probably had a lot to do with our disappointment. Not many fish, coral looks beat up. Did see 6 5-6 foot nurse sharks and some lobster and barracuda. My opinion may also be adversely colored by the dive center (no names here, don't want to be sued)we used. Horrible.
