Great Snorkel site..
This is a great area to snorkel. The clarity was mediocre but there was a storm the day before stirring up the water.

Great snorkelling, very novice shallow dive opportunity
Discovered Cheeca Rocks Memorial Day weekend on advice from staff at a Snake Creek service station (200 yds up-cut from Coast Guard staion on right) while purchasing ice.

Located a just out and south from the Whale Harbor cut sand bar, this shallow patch reef provided a snorkelling opportunity while visiting the sand bar craziness.

There is excellent coral and sand grooves, and we saw not only tons of fish but a nice 4-5' green moray swimming out in the open on top of the reef. He didn't even hide while I swam along next to him for what must have been five minutes.

I can't recommend it for a dive except for beginners, but it is a good snorkel site for a close-in patch reef versus going all the way to the outer reef.
