Duck Key Wreck

This area, also called the Boiler Patch, is home to the remnants of an 1889 steam-powered freighter. All that remains today are four large smoke stacks and two boilers. Although this steamer is unidentified and little is known about her, divers will be able to easily locate her remnants. She is in 25 feet of water and is located 3.5 miles south of Duck Key. The remains of the wreck are home to a variety of sea life and many coral heads.
