Snorkeling and Diving in South Florida

There is a great article in today's Miami Herald about the reefs off the coast of South Florida. The article, titled "REEF MADNESS", focuses on shore-diving, snorkeling, and features a quote from me! Brett O'Bourke mentions several great spots listed on DiveSpots.com. Bache Shoal, The Half Moon, The Jose Quervo Bar/Reef, and the Mandalay.

I read the article in the paper and later took kids 4 thru 9 to Bache Shoal while camping at Boca Chita. Easy to reach, BEAUTIFUL colors, shallow water still comfortable for thr youngest. I'll go again and again.

Any suggestions re who in Key Largo/Keys offers the best 5 Dive Card. I've seen these promoted and was thinking of getting one to get myself back into diving on a more regular basis. I live in Davie, FL and want to Dive more. Next, any suggestions on who offers the best "Resort Dive (intro) Course" in Key Largo or the Keys. I have friends coming for a wedding in December who might be interested in such a course. Last, Dive Broward or Key Largo? Is Key Largo really worth the drive? I've never dived Broward and am wondering what people think.
