Not looking, but always welcome safe divers to join us on our boat in Middle Keys.
We are experienced "locals" - dive, spearfish a few days a week.
Always nice to meet nice people

Hey there Richesb. You'll take me spearfishing? Only if you let me try out your Riffe. These are beautiful guns. Maybe sometime I'll look you up. If you plan on visiting the panhandle give me shout, I'll be happy to dive with you anytime.

Bottomtime,
If you can dive safely, I have no problem in you diving with us.
As far as using my gun, all I will say is i'm a freeshafter. You lose a shaft, you bought a shaft. Otherwise not a problem.
I doubt that we will be up north anytime soon. We live/work/dive just about daily right here in the Keys. Tough to leave our back yard.

Thanks. I work with the Navy as a contractor. We like safety. I'm certified Nitrox and currently pursuing my advanced open water. I don't go in the water unless it's with someone I know and trust completely. Just kidding about the gun.
I noticed in another forum you wrote about the divers from NJ lost on the Spiegel. It's sad to see seasoned divers make tragic mistakes. What can you tell me about Scuba Do Charters? Do they lease the boat out? This charter company was used when another diver perished on the same wreck. Coincidence?

We do alot of deep diving and respect the fact that it can be dangerous. At the same time the reef and wrecks in deep water are alot nicer and we are very sucessful hunters (shoot most of the food we eat).
We dive nitrox daily for safety and shorter surface intervals. Funny you mentioned the gun. YESTERDAY, my girlfriend had a problem with a tangled line on the bottom and I untangled it, loaded her gun and as I got it loaded a Cubera about 20lbs. came around the corner and I shot it with her gun and handed it back to her to deal with.
Hey, stuff happens. I would insist on the same from her, she loses a shaft, she buys it.
I don't shoot dinner, I buy it.
