Saw this unit in Scuba Diving Magazine and later at a dive shop in Key Largo. Anyone have any experience with it?

I've heard really good things about the SeaLife strobes. You might also want to check out Ikelite: http://www.ikelite.com

Ikelite in my opinion is much better. I use their housings and strobes.

I've got the Sealife strobe for my digital...I really like it. I have only had it for a couple of months and since I live in the midwest, I have only gotten to use it once. (on a trip to Key Largo). I worked really well and the pictures turned out nice.

Hey Mermaid... I'm looking to get a Sealife too. How about posting some of the photos you took while on your Keys trip.

I have a Sealife digital camera and digital strobe. The Sealife set up is great for the price. One user mentioned the ikilight (sp?) Which would surely be great but the case alone can be the price of the entire Sealife set up! Around 750.00

We got great shots in Cozumel in July 2005 you can view the pictures scaled for the web at http://www.pruettfamily.net/Cozumel2005.htm

The digital strobe is the way to go, no flash delay and adjustable flash intensity. The camera offers a lot of diffrent options and I only have about 15 dives on mine but am very happy.

Those are great pics, gpruett! How deep were you? How was the vis at the time? Did you touch those up at all with the compter? The colors are awesome and the brightness is amazing. Nice work.

I use the Sealife digital DC310 and the single strobe. My pictures can be seen at: www.downtimedivecharters.com. If I need to edit, I use either 'Adobe', 'Microsoft Picture It', or 'Picassa'. I'm planning to take a course in underwater photog from Shirley Brown this fall. She is published in many of the dive magazines.

Only one or two of these pictures have any touch up. Several with the best color are from night dives... we were between 50-100' most dives around 70 max. The key to good pictures in my book is to take lots of them... then throw out all but the best. so buy a big memory card and snap away. The sea life also has a quick preview that is nice it shows you the pic and asks "discard?" so you can delete bad shots on the fly. the draw back is it slows it down be a few seconds for the next shot. Oh the water in Cozumel was 100' vis almost all the time. Bargin prices and great diving.

dive dive dive...

I have been shooting photos under water off and on for the past two years. I will be the first to tell you that if you can shoot above water as an expert and know your camera inside and out... you can probably do it under water too, but you need excellent strobes. If you don't have proper lighting... you will have crappy photos. My Nikon 70D is an example of an awesome rig with awesome strobes. Check out the photos here: http://www.battlerock.com/arch/Events/Diving/index.html
