My boat has a 3.5" draft which makes crossing shallow waters somewhat risky.
Does anyone knows the best way from Blackpoint to the ocean?

Well its very easy. After you depart heading eastward from Black Point and you arrive near the Sands Cut area all you need to do is continue southward following the island of Elliote Key almost 6 nautical miles till you reach Caesar's Creek which is a deep channel with markers that will lead you out to the open sea. The trip southward is nice and the water is sheltered by the island. I rather burn a little more fuel than risk damaging a lower unit or my boat going through Sands Cut =) Good Luck!
