I have been awaiting this reef to be started now for 3 years, I even forgot all about this seemingly imaginary reef when all of a sudden I was staring at a big white reef ball that said Neptune Memorial Reef.
So here's the info I can relate to you all in this much anticapated reef.

The name of the reef is no longer Atlantis memorial Reef, it is Neptune Memorial Reef now. not sure why the name change.
The GPS coordinates for this site that are given as of 11/16/07 on here are incorrect by about 1/2 mile. But if you ride around where the belzona is you'll see the reel balls. They now have about 5-6 Big white Morring Buoyes set up on this site. They said as of this month that they had put some structures in the water at this site. About 30 days ago I dove down 2 of the Buoys and found only sand. But I did not have time to dive the other buoyes. They may be more promising.
On their site they have a video of the underwater reef (link below) I dont know if the whole video is fake or if just the fish are computer generated. The video was posted 16 days ago, so maybe structures were even placed below after I checked it out a month ago.
I do hope they leave morring buoyes on this site though, it will prevent their structures from getting damaged. Any one else dive this site or have any info on it, please let us all know?

I found this photo of the site, it appears to be real. I'll look better next time i go out

There is also this photo, but I don't know if its comp. generated

Here is the Video of the reef, I know know if its all computer generated or if just the fish are.

I dove NMR two days ago. I have to say it is amazing. The previous poster was correct. There are mooring buoys around it. If anyone chooses to dive this spot PLEASE use the buoys. We wouldn't want the structures destroyed by anchors. The area has four yellow buoys marking the territory. I happened to moor onto buoy NMR1. When I went down from NMR1 I too only found sand. I was a little disappointed, but then I swam south from NMR1 and found the structures. They are exactly as described on their video. Fish EVERYWHERE. Beautiful dive. Highly recommend it, but please be careful to preserve this amazing dive spot we have.

Just wanted to update you guys. I finally dove this site again and did indeed find the structures. I think the mooring buoy said NEPTUNE 1 on it. and it is 25' south of that ball.
I also just posted my photos up for you guys to see.
If anyone is interested in going here the only dive shop that I know of that goes there is Tarpoon Lagoon in South beach next to Montys

First off the GPS coordinates given for this site are 1/2 mile off. The Correct GPS coordinate are:
N 25 42.044 W 80 05.391 to the exact mooring buoy.
Also, the name is now Neptune Memorial Reef.

It is a few hundred yards west of the Belzona.
Look for about 10 big white mooring buoys. Hook up to the one on the north east side it has a big ugly yellow one right near it. As of 12/26/07 this is the only mooring buoy that has anything underneath it. Some of the others just have big blocks of cement near it but that's not really exciting.
The visibility was 60' with a slight-moderate current. There are many 20' columns, 2 10' Loins, starfish statues, and some other interesting things down there. Since the site is still in progress. there's only maybe 60'x60' of cool things to look at down there. Taking only 30 mins to look at everything there.
There are tons of fish, big game fish and tropical, lots of sand dollars and sea biscuits just below the sand. a few hermit craps, and one 15-20' long Tritons Trumpet Snail (how fitting of this reef!) There is no coral growth as of yet but a few meters away from the reef lots of rock sponges.
This is a nice quick dive with lots to see. I hope they continue to add to this reef to really make it one great dive.

I also posted up my photos of this dive.

Just dove the NMR yesterday and I must say for the few structures that are there its pretty cool. Lots of fish, hog snappers, angel fish and one large southern stingray. When this reef gets done its going to be amazing. If you havent been there yet check it out, its a real easy dive.
