Looking for a buddy for weekday diving, since wife is at work M-F. I have several weekdays off along a month and would like to make it out for some bubble making. Own a boat and normally dive off Boca Inlet or Hillsboro Inlet dive sites.

Hello Jayntoni
Name here is Jim, Been diving for 50 some years, Do need some good diving buddies, I too can go on week days any day except Saterday. if the wind is not too bad,I am ready to go. I have a 30 foot boat set for diving, one big problem it is fuel. My boat will burn at least 100 gallons of diesel on an average trip. I live in Punta Gorda and the trip to boca is 18 miles. Numbers say there should be at least 3 to 4 divers to divide up the fuel to make the trip cost saving. The boat has a closed cabin, radar, SSB, VHF, GPS ,loran and fish finders, Crusing speed 22-25 knots. Have plenty of dive spots all up and down the coast, Base of operations are Punta Gorda, About GPS numbers, If I give you a number I will expect one from you, No hand held GPS on the vessel at any time. I have been spoofed so many times, quite tired of it. If this suits your fancy get back Jim Bo

18 miles???
Obviously that has to be a typo, as Punta Gorda is on the west coast of florida and Boca Raton is on the east!
But the rest of that post was still humourous. It seems as though you are a very suspicious person worried about a person knowing "your" dive spots, well if you dont want another soul know your spots then why bother showing them [taking them there] in the first place, LOL!
I am sure a search for "contraban" such as a hand held GPS device will go over very well meeting new dive buddies. I suppose a pocket compass, and stopwatch is out of the question too.... no looking at the speedoo, lol. Too funny.

I can dive during the week, I dive alone mostly, and can run a boat.

I have an odd schedule but if you are looking for a dive buddy in the Boca, Hillsbor area drop me a line and we can see if my schedule works. My Girlfriend is a diver as well, and she likes to dive as much as I do, if room is avail. I have been diving for 23 yrs and have yet to go get my advanced but it is coming soon. I have done all the dives just not with an instructor. Also have all of my own equipment, and it is in great working order, or I would not use it.
