From NC to spear in the Upper Keys, Hot Spots?

I'm driving down to Key Largo/Tavernier from Calabash, NC the second week of April to do some spearing and I was hoping for some advice. I looked up the wrecks/reefs listed on the site but im not sure which ones, if any, are spear friendly. Should I try spearing further South? If anyone knows of any spots that are shallow enough for free diving that would be great. Also I'm attempting to spear out of a kayak so anything outside 6 miles would be to far. Looking forward to getting out of cold muddy water! Anyone is welcome to join me and my buddy. Henry     Reply | Report to Moderator
