We are planning a trip to the Marathon area in June and are looking for good relatively easy dive sites. My wife and I are advanced divers but my 14 year old son is a relative newbie and needs to be 60' or less. We will be bringing our boat as well. Looking forward to fishing and diving for a week in paradise. Thanks in advance for your help.

Not to derail, but I understand kids that are still "growing" should stay below 30 feet.

I don't believe that is true specialk, I for one started diving when I was 8 years old, and dove religiously with my dad. We taught scuba for 7 years together after I got out of the Navy, and I have never heard any reports of that. I could be wrong though, ya never know.
Hey Richesb, would you mind if I gave you a call about the same thing? My wife and I are heading down to islamorada this Christmas to do nothing but dive,,, and eat seafood!!! would love to do some good wreck/treasure diving, but I hear that the wonderful state of FL has made it illegal to treasure dive from Cape Canaveral to the bottom of the keys. Am I wrong about this? or is there still some chance for us treasure diving wannabee's to still look for trinkets while diving in the keys? hope to hear back from ya!
